Collaboration Grants
International Research Partnership Awards - Apply by November 15, 2018
The Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation is now accepting applications for the International Research Partnership Awards. The purpose of these awards is to enhance Lakehead University’s international research reputation and understanding of global challenges through increased engagement with international partners. The program will provide seed grants to set up long-term research collaborations with international partners.
Up to $10,000 per project will be available. Funds must be spent within one year of receiving the grant. This opportunity is open to all full-time, tenure-track and tenured Lakehead faculty members. Priority will be given to activities that support international research partners with which Lakehead has a current bilateral MOU supporting collaborative research and/or shared educational programming and exchanges.
Eligible Activities
The program will support expenses associated with:
1) the preparation of a joint funding application (i.e., international travel to attend international meetings, workshops, proposal preparation expenses including grant writing/copyediting support, etc.);
2) participation in an international joint workshop that has the potential to result in long-term collaborations;
3) matching funds to supplement external grants supporting international research collaboration; and
4) subsistence allowance for short-term stays abroad to develop strategic international partnerships.
Please note that conference travel is not eligible.

Faculty Mobility Program
